Starry Songs ("we", "us", "our") creates personalized lullabies for children's bedtime routines. We are committed to protecting your privacy and your child's privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

What We Collect

• Account information: Your email address, used for authentication and account recovery.
• Child's first name: Used to personalize lullaby lyrics. We do not collect last names, ages, photos, or any other identifying information about children.
• Comfort objects and preferences: Items you select (e.g., "teddy bear", "stars") to include in lullabies.
• Generated lullabies: Audio files and lyrics we create for you.

What We Do Not Collect

• No audio recordings of you or your child
• No photos or images
• No precise location data
• No behavioral tracking or analytics
• No advertising identifiers
• No device fingerprinting

How We Use Your Data

• Lullaby generation: Your child's first name and selected comfort objects are sent to our music provider (currently ElevenLabs) to generate personalized lullabies. No other personal information is included.
• Quality assurance: We may share generated lullaby audio with our music provider to diagnose and resolve quality issues. This audio contains only the generated song and does not include any recordings of you or your child.
• Account management: Your email is used for sign-in and account recovery.
• Service operation: We store lullaby audio and metadata so you can access your songs.

Payments

All purchases are processed entirely through Apple's In-App Purchase system. We never see, collect, or store your payment information, credit card numbers, or billing details.

Infrastructure & Data Storage

Our service runs on Cloudflare's global network (Workers, D1 database, R2 storage). Your data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Audio generation is performed by ElevenLabs.

Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with:

• ElevenLabs: Receives your child's first name and comfort object selections as part of the music generation prompt. We may also share generated lullaby audio with ElevenLabs to investigate and resolve quality issues. No other personal information is shared.
• Cloudflare: Provides our infrastructure (hosting, database, storage).
• Apple: Processes payments through their In-App Purchase system.

We may also disclose data if required by law.

Children's Privacy

Starry Songs is designed for parents and caregivers to create lullabies for their children. We do not collect data directly from children. All accounts must be created by adults (18+). We store only the child's first name as entered by the parent or guardian. We comply with the spirit of COPPA (Children's Online Privacy Protection Act) by minimizing data collection related to children.

Shared Lullabies

When you share a lullaby link, the recipient can listen to the lullaby and see the child's first name and lyrics. Shared links expire after 30 days. The original lullaby is retained in your account and can be re-shared at any time. No account is required to listen to a shared lullaby.

Data Retention & Deletion

• Your account and lullabies are stored until you choose to delete them.
• You can delete your account at any time from within the app, or by emailing support@starrysongs.com.
• Upon account deletion, all personal data and audio files are removed within 24 hours.

Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time. To exercise these rights, use the account settings in the app or contact us at support@starrysongs.com.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
